Privacy Policy — CSV Cleaner

Summary

CSV Cleaner is a Google Sheets™ add-on. It processes spreadsheet data only to provide the cleaning features you request. CSV Cleaner does not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties.

What data the add-on accesses

Spreadsheet content (cells, rows/columns) in the spreadsheet where the add-on is installed, to perform cleaning operations you select.
Basic account identity (email/profile) may be shown by Google by default for OAuth flows; CSV Cleaner does not use it to track you.

How data is used

To split CSV text into columns (including handling quoted CSV values).
To trim whitespace / hidden characters, normalize dates, convert numbers stored as text, standardize headers, and remove duplicates.
To write results into a new sheet (e.g., Cleaned - <sheet>) unless you choose otherwise.

Data storage and sharing

CSV Cleaner does not run its own servers and does not store your spreadsheet data outside your Google account.
No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
Data is processed within the Google Apps Script / Google Sheets™ environment.

Data Protection and Security

CSV Cleaner uses Google Workspace APIs and operates within the user’s Google account. The application does not transmit Google user data to external servers or third parties.

All data access is governed by Google OAuth 2.0 authorization and is limited to the permissions explicitly granted by the user during installation. CSV Cleaner only accesses the active Google Sheet in which the add-on is installed.

The application does not store, log, or persist Google user data outside of the user’s Google Sheets™ environment. Data remains protected by Google’s security infrastructure, access controls, and encryption mechanisms.

Data Retention and Deletion

CSV Cleaner does not store or retain Google user data outside of the user’s Google account.

All data processed by the application exists only within the user’s Google Sheets™ and remains fully under the user’s control. CSV Cleaner does not create external backups, databases, or logs containing Google user data.

Users may delete their data at any time by deleting or modifying their Google Sheets™. Uninstalling the CSV Cleaner add-on immediately revokes the application’s access to Google user data.
